“Family Business in the Arab World” (FBAW) was founded by the Sheikh Saoud bin Khalid bin Khalid Al-Qassimi Chair in Family Business at the American University of Sharjah and the Tharawat Family Business Forum.
FBAW is the first platform of its kind in the region, with the main aim to discuss the state of family businesses in the MENA, enhance regional research efforts and develop best practice.

ENHANCING ACADEMIC RESEARCH IN THE MENA
o FBAW aims to bring together regional and international Academics and researchers to develop a more will systematic investigation of family businesses in the MENA.
o Research will cover a variety of subject areas, such as family dynamics, culture, business management, and innovation in family firms.
o The aim of this is to attract contributions that investigate family firms in the MENA both theoretically and empirically.
o Research may be collected, published, or prepared for teaching across the region.
